...it's actually raining here, for the second time this week. Now I know I'm going against the majority here, I actually prefer rain to snow, but it's still freezing and cold, and even I have to admit this is lame.

I would tend to agree. It rains so seldom here in Texas that I love a good rainy spell. Which is not to say that I would like a move to Seattle. But if it's going to be cold, I'd rather it be dry or snowy. It was about 60 here in Austin today. Pretty typical for Christmas Day.
